- I have been a guard wife since my husband enlisted a couple of months before we were married. He discharged when Ayden was little and re-enlisted a few years ago. I am also an army daughter and a guard mother. There are many sacrifices made while a family is in the military. We are deployment survivors. For the most part, we are a regular family, who deals with the challenges of life with our faith.
